Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie

Such a delicious classic! I remember enjoying peanut butter banana smoothies as a kid. Most of the time if you get this creamy treat from a smoothie place it is packed with frozen yogurt and sugar. There is really no need for all the extra junk! You'll get all the creaminess and sugar you need from your bananas and the peanut butter adds that decadent flavor.

Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie

Yield: 2 glasses full

Prep: 5 minutes

Total Time: 5 minutes


Ingredients:

3 frozen bananas

1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk

2 tbsp. unsweetened peanut butter

2 cups fresh spinach (optional)


Directions:

  1. Place banana, peanut butter, almond milk and spinach (if you choose) into the blender.

  2. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  3. Top with banana slices and peanut butter drizzle for an extra fun treat!

  4. Enjoy!


Notes:


*I have enjoyed this smoothie with a Feenin For Greens spinach twist and really cannot tell the difference. My picky eater however prefers the classic look and won't even touch my green version. That's ok! I'll continue sneaking greens into her berry smoothies without any trouble.
